The award-winning Espiner range of Tissue Retrieval Sacs brought to you by Fannin, provides ease of deployment, positioning and retrieval.

Developed through collaboration with surgeons to deliver time savings, cost efficiencies and more importantly – improved patient outcomes. In 1990, pioneering laparoscopic surgeon Harry Espiner approached Jim Howard of Cameron Balloons – the world’s largest manufacturer of hot air balloons, to create a strong, lightweight Sac impermeable to biological fluids.

Utilising the same material used in hot air balloons, the unique range of Espiner Sacs continues to be developed using the latest design technology and strong, safe and reliable polyurethane coated ripstop nylon.

Suitable for all tissue retrieval procedures from the appendix to the large malignant spleen, our one piece design – for maximum strength and performance, is at the cutting edge of minimally invasive surgery.

In 2015, Espiner became incorporated into the Medical Devices division of Fannin UK Ltd, which is part of DCC Vital – giving the scale and infrastructure to distribute our unique and innovative range of Tissue Retrieval Systems around the world.
