Empowering Minimally Invasive Surgery

The Espiner Morcell8OR is an electrically powered morcellator intended for the controlled cutting, coring and extraction of devascularised uterine tissue during minimally invasive gynaecologic procedures such as hysterectomy and myomectomy.

The Espiner Morcell8OR is designed to be used in conjunction with Espiner containment systems to support controlled tissue removal during laparoscopic procedures.

Key Benefits of the Morcell8OR

High Cutting Speed & Torque – High cutting speed ~1650 RPM motor output

Single Device per Case – Designed for use throughout the procedure without changing due to battery discharge or degradation

Optimised Portfolio – Safe and efficient with Espiner bags for contained tissue removal

Mains-Powered – No battery management or additional disposal issues

Manual vs Powered Price Saving – Ready-to-use sterile device eliminating reprocessing steps between procedures

A Complete Laparoscopic Tissue Management System

Espiner now brings together our trusted Morcellation Sacs and the new Espiner Morcell8OR under one brand, offering a fully integrated tissue retrieval system. Surgeons who already rely on Espiner Sacs can now pair them with a high-performance morcellator, creating a seamless, efficient workflow.

By combining a best-in-class bag with a cutting-edge device, Espiner provides a complete solution designed to streamline procedures and improve patient outcomes – all under one trusted system.

The Espiner Morcellation Sac

The Espiner Morcellation Sac, part of our tissue retrieval family, provides a one-piece, tear-resistant design with a PUR coating for strength and durability. Coloured tabs, black stitching, and a camera sleeve allow easy orientation and direct visualisation during morcellation.

The sac deploys using 5mm instruments, creates a pseudo-abdomen to isolate tissue, and enables safe retrieval via laparoscopic incision, helping reduce procedure time, hospital stay, and costs. Includes an X-ray opaque marker and offers up to five-year shelf life.

Now, with the launch of the Espiner Morcellator, surgeons can pair their trusted Espiner sacs with a high-performance morcellator under one brand, creating a complete, integrated tissue retrieval system.

Hear it from the Clinicians

“The Espiner Morcellation bag is very simple to introduce into the abdomen. Due to its strong texture, it is easier to manipulate than other bags and hard to rupture. It allows a shorter procedure time and facilitates the retrieval of larger specimens.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Espiner offers a single-use, mains-powered device with consistent cutting performance, ergonomic handling with trigger guard safety, and no battery management – all positioned within a complete Espiner tissue management system.

Preoperative imaging cannot always distinguish benign fibroids from rare malignancies. Containment systems are used to support safer tissue extraction by reducing the risk of unintended tissue spread during morcellation.

As a single-use, ready-to-use device, the Morcell8OR minimises setup time, removes reprocessing requirements, and ensures consistent availability, supporting operating theatre efficiency.

Fannin provides structured product training, educational support, and clinical session attendance where required. Contact your Fannin representative for further information: enquiries@fannin.eu

The device includes a trigger guard safety mechanism, ergonomic design to support controlled handling, and integrated motor overload protection to prevent excessive load during use. It is intended for use within a containment system as part of a controlled tissue extraction approach.

Yes – the Morcell8OR is supplied sterile and intended for single use only. It must not be reprocessed, resterilised, or used beyond its stated intended use.

Espiner provides product training, educational support and attendance at clinical sessions where required.

The Morcell8OR is a CE-marked medical device. For details of the applicable conformity assessment and classification, refer to the device labelling and Instructions for Use, or contact Fannin directly at enquiries@fannin.eu

The Morcell8OR is intended for use in laparoscopic gynaecological procedures requiring tissue extraction, such as myomectomy and hysterectomy, in line with the Instructions for Use and subject to clinical judgement and local protocols.

The Morcell8OR should be used by clinicians trained in laparoscopic surgery and tissue extraction techniques. Structured product training is required prior to first use and must be completed in line with the Instructions for Use. Training is delivered by a Fannin product specialist. To arrange training, contact Fannin directly at enquiries@fannin.eu

The Morcell8OR is designed for use as part of the Espiner laparoscopic tissue management system. Use with alternative containment systems is only appropriate where those systems meet the dimensional and performance requirements specified in the Instructions for Use.

Yes. The Morcell8OR must not be used in patients where malignancy is suspected or cannot be excluded. Clinicians should refer to the Instructions for Use for the complete list of contraindications, warnings, and precautions before use. Patient selection, pre-operative assessment, and documentation of informed consent are the responsibility of the treating clinician.
