Infumix was designed in compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
In particular, the following regulatory supports were followed:
Harmonized standards, national standards and technical regulations considered:
Any detergent/disinfectant already used in the workplace is correct, adopt manual cleaning operations.
ATTENTION: the system could be damaged by very liquid detergent substances because they could damage the internal parts of the machine, make sure to dry the machine correctly after having disinfected it.
ATTENTION: Do not wash the machine with a jet of water. The electric motor is not protected from water.
Compatibility is guaranteed by the materials in contact with the drug and covers 100% of the drugs used within the pharmaceutical environment.
LCD technology, readable display in all lighting conditions.
The machine is designed not to create obstacles in the limited space available to operators in hospital laboratories.
The machine is easy to handle given its sturdiness and stability, at the same time it guarantees lightness in movements due to its low weight (750 grams).
Yes, it is a class I sterile medical device. A system based on a sterile disposable syringe for the preparation of infusion solutions. To prevent the formation and proliferation of bacteria, it is recommended to replace the disposable components every 12 hours.
No, the device only works if powered by electricity currently. The DC power is a low voltage medical grade unit that plugs into a standard power outlet, or power outlets built into the hoods.
The green key of Infumix is the most used key. It is used to switch on the machine (holding it down for at least 5 seconds), to carry out manual calibration, to switch it off (holding it down). The blue button allows you to reset the value if you deem it useful. For example: it is possible to aspirate a quantity of drug and after having expelled the air (as in a normal syringe), reset the value by pressing the blue key. This use is perfect for carrying out multiple drug infusions without having to make any mental calculations, eliminating every small infused dose.
Being a semi-automatic device, it does not occupy the space intended for robots. The big difference between infumix and robots is that being a device capable of adapting to the daily practicality of the operator, it can be inserted into the normal working day without distorting materials and methods.
Polypropylene and high density polyethylene.
Infumix can be used with any device that has ISO standard luer lock connections.
Infumix—manufactured by Adriamed—is available in the UK through Fannin!
