As a part of the Fujifilm Healthcare portfolio, Fujifilm SonoSite is continually evolving in order to improve the lives of people around the world. They leverage their ultrasound expertise to bring the latest technologies to the entire patient care pathway, from prevention to diagnosis and treatment.
SonoSite’s first mission was to create an ultrasound machine that could be carried into battle and used to make time-critical medical decisions under the most grueling conditions imaginable. The concept was simple: get treatment to a trauma victim within the first 60 minutes of being injured by giving a frontline clinician an ultrasound machine that could easily be brought to the patient’s side. It was a concept that had been put into practice for years but with equipment that was anything but easy-to-move.
Enter the SonoSite 180. Designed in partnership with point-of-care clinicians, weighing less than 10 lbs and built for the battlefield, the 180 was born for the bedside. For the first time, point-of-care clinicians had a tool built for them that made bringing ultrasound to any patient, anywhere, at any time a possibility.
From the beginning SonoSite has been dedicated to empowering clinicians to continue innovating the practice of medicine for the sake of providing better patient care. With more than 100,000 SonoSite machines installed worldwide, they continue to partner with clinicians to bring the benefits of ultrasound to the point-of-care.
“Fannin are one of SonoSite’s oldest distribution partners. Since 2005, we have worked with Fannin to develop the Point of Care market for ultrasound in Ireland and they are market leaders in this segment. Their clinical support is excellent and they have partnered with their customers to provide ongoing education though regular workshops across a range of specialities. The measurement of their success can be seen in the repeat business generated by their customers as they trade up to our latest technology. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Fannin.”
