Barrier® EasyWarm® active self-warming blanket

Active self-warming blanket to help prevent hypothermia in the peri-operative setting

The BARRIER® EasyWarm® is a disposable, self-warming blanket designed to keep patients warm during surgery. It comes vacuum-packed, and once opened, the warming pads activate when exposed to air.

The blanket is made of two layers of blue nonwoven polypropylene fabric with sewn-in pockets. Inside these pockets are warming pads filled with iron powder, charcoal, water, salt, and sodium acrylate, which generate heat.
